Tergesen plays Wright understatedly, most of the time showing up in the background with a surprised look or a smirk on his face. This final episode featured the most screen time in the series for Lee Tergesen as reporter Even Wright. Sands does an excellent job of portraying outrage mixed with concern that he's really doing the right thing. Nate Fick (Stark Sands, Day of the Dead) the frustration with the lack of a plan culminates in outright defiance of an order to send his men into the city at night. It's readily apparent that there was no overall plan for what do in Iraq once Saddam was defeated, an opinion shared by several Marines throughout the episode. The lack of reliable translators meant misunderstandings with locals, confusion over how to handle the looting and general chaos in the city at night led to taking no action at all, and locals would be asked what they needed only for the Marines to move on to a whole new area the next day. First Recon's trip into Baghdad gives a quick rundown of the problems the U.S. The real-life Kocher serves as the miniseries' key military advisor, so it was very interesting to see how integrally his story plays into the overall series. Brad Colbert (Alexander Skarsgard), rightfully concerned about his friend, tracks him down and discovers that Kocher was being blamed for Captain America's (Eric Nenninger) bayoneting of a prisoner, shown last episode. Eric Kocher (Owain Yeoman, Troy) being demoted from his status as team leader. One of the biggest overall storylines this episode was Sgt.
